Active Life’s Buggy Active programme is one of nine local projects recently recognised by A Better Start Southend as demonstrating great results in the first part of our ‘test and learn’ review process.

These fun and friendly exercise sessions have been running on Tuesdays and have given new mums a great way to get healthy and meet other parents, whilst enjoying some fresh air with their baby as part of a more active life.

What the mums say:

“It’s really good. It’s a big group and I know a couple of the mums so it’s a bit of a social thing. It’s good exercise and convenient – I can’t do other classes due to the time of day.”

“I like it, it’s different, and it gets you out for an hour. I’ve got an older child (age 5) and I didn’t do anything like this last time, I wasn’t aware there was anything.”

We are now working with Active Life to complete a full evaluation of the project.
