Our Let’s Talk project to improve children’s speech, language or communication skills is growing with the introduction of the Attention ABS course. Designed after the success of Little Listeners, the course supports younger children (aged 2-3) to develop their looking and turn-taking skills.

The fun-filled 5 week course lasts for 30 minutes and includes the opportunity to talk to the speech and language therapist at the end of the session who will provide you with strategies and tips to support your child’s attention and listening skills.

Building on children’s attention and listening skills at a young age is very important in supporting the development of their social interaction, talking and understanding.

The course itself is designed to be fun and engaging with the activities usually ending in a delightful mess as we know that children learn best when they are having fun!

The first sessions are underway at Friars Children’s Centre with more groups planned after the half term holidays.
