Exciting adventures await at Sparkles Sensory Storytime!
This project is open to all families caring for a child under 4 years of age with ANY form of disability / SEND. We invite referrals from professionals who consider that a particular family would benefit from the sessions however, families are also welcome to contact us directly.
Our sessions offer children with all forms of disability the opportunity to engage with and enjoy a wide range of stories. Each story features interactive elements, music and the opportunity to develop early communication skills such as Makaton signing, symbols and switches.
Our sessions are:

- Inclusive
- Stimulating
There is no expectation that children will sit still and listen and in fact we actively encourage movement and engagement in a way that suits your child.
The sessions are a great way for parents to meet others who are in similar situations and to gain friendship and support.
Session are run by SEND professionals, where parents can expect support and advice on a wide range of SEND topics. This project is available to all families living withing Southend City.
Sessions run at SAVS, 29-31 Alexandra St, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1BW on Thursdays during term time only.
10.00-10.45 am for our busy sparks who like to be on the move.
11.00-11.45 am for our little sparks who like things a little quieter.
