Monday – Cuppa and Chat
9:30-11:30, 29-31 Alexandra St, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1BW
Drop in for a playgroup session at the ABSS Parent Community Hub, located in the heart of Southend. The Hub offers a range of support and services, and aims to provide children with a range of different play experiences. The YourFamily team are on hand to give information or help with any family issues. No need to book, just pop in!
Tuesday – Bump to Breast
10:00-12:00, 29-31 Alexandra St, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1BW
Join Bump to Breast at any of their friendly weekly groups for a cuppa, a chat and to ask any breastfeeding related questions. No booking is required, and older siblings are welcome to.
If Tuesday’s at the Hub don’t work for you, Bump to Breast meet on Monday’s and Wednesday’s in Shoebury, Wednesday’s in Milton ward, and Thursday’s on Southchurch Road. Please view our events page for full details.
Wednesday – Umbilical Chords

Making music with your baby is a great way to help develop their brain and language skills, as well as offering a unique and fun bonding experience for you and your little one. Register your interest via our events page and go along with your baby to make some musical memories!
Thursday – Chaos and Calm
9:00-12:00, 29-31 Alexandra St, Southend-on-Sea SS1 1BW
Chaos and Calm is a weekly drop-in session for children under the age of two with a disability. Email Hannah Davies at admin@chaosandcalm.org to book in, and go along to enjoy a range of activities such as messy play, treasure baskets, signposting to services, communication support, sensory play, and more!
Friday – Families Growing Together
9:30-15:30, Growing Together Westcliff, 47 Fairfax Drive, Westcliff-on-Sea, SS0 9AG
Share the joy of planting, creative play and being outdoors with your children and other families! Families can drop into the community gardens in Westcliff and Shoebury to spend some much needed quality family time getting in touch with nature. No need to book, just drop in to enjoy time in the gardens.
