Our Volunteer Home Visiting service is here for you! Be matched with a volunteer and build new connections in your community, receive every day support from someone who understands your challenges, and make new friends!

The service provides home-visiting support via volunteers with parenting experience, and can help with play activities, mealtimes and even signposting to additional services that are available within your community. However your family life looks, our volunteers are ready to meet you, and you will be matched with a volunteer best suited to your family’s needs

Our volunteers are highly skilled and complete the Home-start/ABSS approved training and safe-guarding courses before being matched to a family.

Want to become a volunteer?

We are always looking for new volunteers to join us. Volunteers must have parenting experience. Your expenses for support and supervision will be covered, as well as a calendar of social events for you to attend should you want to. For anyone interested in becoming a volunteer as part of the service, it looks great on a CV too!

The service holds a hub at the Friends and Places Together Hub in Victoria Plaza (top floor of the shopping centre, just along from New Look) every Tuesday 9.30 am – 12 midday.
