Chaos & Calm

Chaos & Calm provides a programme of play and story sessions designed to improve early learning, literacy, communication, and social outcomes for children with complex needs and disabilities. The service supports parents/carers of these children by increasing their knowledge of how communication can improve and to give opportunities to explore and understand a wide range of communication methods and activities.

Ongoing virtual assistance and service updates will be available through the new Chaos & Calm website, social media, and the ‘Contact Us’ form found at  www.chaosandcalm.org as well as in person at their sessions. The website will include the ABSS SEND Legacy Resource Pack Tip Sheets, along with a collection of ideas, resources, and helpful web links to support families. It will also include links to the Southend SEND Local Offer and the Service Directory on the City Family website.

Families with young children who have special educational needs can continue to receive support through group sessions provided by the Council’s education service. These sessions aim to empower families and support children’s development:
