Enjoy the outdoors with your children and meet other families in Trust Links community garden sites in Shoeburyness, and Westcliff and Kursaal. These sessions are available to ALL* families across Southend.
The sessions are a great space to meet other families in the local community, gain peer support, pick up some gardening tips, and share the joy of planting, harvesting and nurturing fruit and vegetables with your children. There is also a range of other activities, including arts and crafts, sensory play and outdoor play, and healthy eating and cookery sessions.
Some of the activities enjoyed include: mud kitchens, sand pits and sensory play, but equally families can simply enjoy being outdoors and saying hello to our friendly chickens.
Come and join us for our Saturday Dads’ Club which operates on a bi-weekly basis, alternating between the Shoeburyness and Westcliff community gardens. The Dads’ Club is a chance to spend quality time with your children to share arts, crafts or just enjoy the community garden space. It’s also a great chance to meet with fellow dads from across the community to create a peer support network and enjoy a home cooked breakfast and hot drink!
The Dads’ Club is a free project for families with children aged 0-3 from across the City of Southend.
We run the following Families Growing Together drop-in sessions:
Email the team at admin-support@trustlinks.org or call on 01702 213134
Please tell us which time and location suits you best. Some families choose to join an entire session, whilst others prefer to drop in for a couple of hours. You choose.
*As of October 2024 this project is now open for ALL families across Southend and isn’t restricted by ABSS ward.
