Earlier this year, A Better Start Southend invited parents, partners and stakeholders of the programme to tell us about their preferences in receiving updates from us. The survey provided valuable insight into how our external communications could be further strengthened.

The results showed that our usual methods of communicating updates – newsletters and governance meetings – are very effective, and partners and parents felt that an A Better Start Southend quarterly ‘face to face’ update would also be beneficial.

Due to the pandemic and the need to keep our partners and parents safe, these meetings will be held via GoTo Webinar. The first quarterly update will be taking place on the 15th December at 11am, and offers a fantastic opportunity to hear all about the latest updates from the programme, as well as a spotlight feature from our fantastic Specialist Health Visitors for Perinatal Mental Health team, and an update from our brilliant Parent Champion Joanne Webb, from Kursaal ward. If you would like to join us, please register your interest via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/130559951329
