We launched the fantastic ‘Resilience, Ideas and Innovation Fund’ on the 23rd July with a networking and information event at our Alexandra Street hub.

The new ABSS Resilience, Ideas and Innovation Fund fits in with our belief in community-led change, and is centred on building Community Resilience (the community’s ability to address issues), one of our key strategic priorities (Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Diet and Nutrition; System Change; and Community Resilience). The fund helps support community groups, organisations and individuals who have a great idea which will make lives better for young children and families within A Better Start Southend areas.

With a requirement of at least two partners engaged in any proposal for funding, it offers a brilliant opportunity to come together in developing new ways of delivering the best results. The total fund is £60,000 per annum, with awards for proposals up to £10,000 per annum, over three years. Proposals will be accepted via email: absspmo@eyalliance.org.uk, with the deadline for proposals 29th November 2019 (midday).
