YourFamily‘s Safe & Well at Home Workshops will focus on sessions on the wellbeing and safety of baby and young children in the family home.

The sessions will be held in Friars Family Centre, Friars Primary School, Constable Way, Shoeburyness, Essex SS3 9XX

Dates are below with brief details and sessions will run from 9.30am to 11am.

Booking in advance is essential by sending an email to yourfamily@eyalliance.org.uk

Creche facilities will also be available.

  • Arriva 8 – nearest stop Midsummer Meadow (approx. 12 min walk to centre)
  • Stephenson’s 14 – nearest stop Constable Way (approx. 8 min walk to centre)

Monday 21st February – Signs of an Ill Baby and Minor Ailments – It can be difficult to tell if a baby or toddler is ill. This session will provide an insight into spotting the signs of serious illness, managing minor ailments and easing symptoms at home.

Monday 28th February – Accident Prevention for Non-mobile Babies – Accidents do occur however most are preventable. This session will help you identify preventable accidents and keep your baby safe.

Monday 7th March – Accident Prevention for Mobile Children – There were over 6000 A&E attendances for children aged 0-4 years in Southend on Sea (2018/19).  A session to reduce common accidents of young children.

Monday 14th March – Accident Prevention for Over 2 Years – Accident prevention for active, curious children. A session to support parents identify risks and minimise accident prevention.
