Scientific research and evidence forms the cornerstone of service design which fosters happier and healthier lives.
It is crucial to everything we do. It is the way in which we learn about the impact our services have made on our children and their families.
We ‘test and learn’ from evidence and science-based services and activities as well as innovations.
Science-based: Based on best available evidence, but not yet tested in its own comparison study.
Evidence-based: Found to be effective in robust comparison studies e.g. Randomised Controlled Trials.
Innovation: New and untested service of activity that has a theory of how and why outcomes might be achieved.
Evaluation
To ensure that ABSS services are effective and will improve children’s outcomes, continuous evaluation is carried out. Find out more about ABSS evaluation processes.
The voices of parents/carers and children are key to understanding the impact of the ABSS programme. Find out more about their journeys and experiences.
