Talking Transitions Chatter Challenge

The Talking Transitions team understands the many transitions little ones experience before they are 5. The award winning Talking Transitions project supports children who are starting their journey to ‘big school’ and aims to make this transitionary period as smooth as possible.

Throughout the month of August, the team’s 2023 version of Chatter Challenge provides daily prompts and fun ideas to give children the opportunity to develop their speech, language and communication skills ahead of them starting school, while aiding their  development and emotional well-being.

Children who attend an Early Years setting that is part of the award-winning Talking Transitions project, will be given their own Chatter Challenge along with a Chatter bag that they’ll be encouraged to collect things in or draw on. Once completed, the children are invited to take the bag to their new school to ‘chatter’ about with their new teacher and friends.
