Forest Bathing

A relaxation technique of being calm and quiet, surrounded by trees.

Introduction

Family life can often feel incredibly busy as we rush from one thing to the next – so how can we find moments of calm and return to a state of balance?

Forest bathing is a relaxation technique of being calm and quiet, surrounded by trees. It comes from Japan and is known there as 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘬𝘶.

Forest bathing is suitable for both children and adults to try. It supports mental health and wellbeing through mindfulness, giving ‘space’ in our lives when the hustle
and bustle of everyday life is put aside. It’s all about being in the moment and there’s no time limits or strict rules that you need to follow.
