Making music with your baby is a great way to help develop their brain, build their language skills, and offers a unique and fun bonding experience for you and your little one.

In 2019, the Southend YMCA and a team of local mums and dads were successful in winning funding from our Resilience, Ideas and Innovation Fund for the Umbilical Chords project – a weekly term-time music group for children aged 0-2 years of age within A Better Start Southend wards. The sessions are led by a qualified Early Years Practitioner, as well as a Music Tutor, and will offer an exciting and fun group session centred around making music, and sharing playtime as a family. No experience is necessary for these sessions, and all equipment will be provided.

For more information, contact the YMCA team on uc@southendymca.org.uk. These music groups are not to be missed and will be booked up fast, so get in touch to secure your spot!
